Is Your Health Your Main Concern? Or is it only important in New Years Wishes?
2018 is over half way so it is a good moment to look back at the first half of the year. How is it with your good intentions that you made for 2018? Have you been able to keep them? Or are you one of many that has only stated them on New Years evening and then forgot about them? Or maybe you were able to keep them for a few days or even weeks?
Well don’t worry it is normal human behavior. It is very hard to change things if you are constantly seduced to keep your “bad” habits. The most important one being your health. The saying “if we are healthy that is the most important” is one often heard on New Years wishes. But it seems to be the one thing we forget the easiest.
We cannot take our health for granted. We cannot keep eating and keep doing unhealthy things and then expect to stay healthy and live happily forever after.
We need to change our mindset and put our health first.
My body is my Temple!
My Health is my N°1 Priority!
It is a pretty great statement. Write it down and hang it in front of you, in your kitchen, on your refrigerator so it is a constant reminder. Think about everything you put in your mouth eating and drinking. But not only eating and drinking, your body needs movement. Sitting all day behind a desk or in front of a computer or television is not what your body needs.
Depending what job you have it will be more difficult to get your body moving enough but you can think about how you can implement some physical activity in your daily actions. Be creative.
There’s nothing more important than your health, nothing! Unfortunately we often only take action when we have a problem with our health. And sometimes it is even too late an we cannot repair our body anymore. Never in history has there been more information about what is healthy and what isn’t. Why don’t act on it? Why on earth would you still want to smoke when you know that it may very well kill you? Why would you still eat all that fright food, all that candy, all those unhealthy snacks, drink all those calories when you know that it is so unhealthy?
Don’t go on a diet but change your lifestyle, change the way you think. Live longer, healthier, happier and fitter. It is your decision to make, your responsibility not anyone else’s, you cannot blame your parents, your partner, your friends or the industry.
You are in charge, you are in control take the steering wheel of your health into your own hands. Set the example to others and they will follow when they see how much better and more energised you look and feel. Don’t make it a good intention, start now, start today!
Have a wonderful day!
