Health: Expectations vs. Reality I will start tomorrow, next week, next year, ... never!
Expectation: I’m going to limit my Friday night drinking and spend Saturday exercising, eating health food and resting.
Reality: Friday night I drink too much so that Saturday is spent horizontal in bed (resting you know), without exercising my stomach is not up for that let alone eat health food … I have to go out this evening and drink something to get over this.
Expectation: I’m going to drink a green juice every morning.
Reality: This literally tastes like grass and dirt. I am never gonna drink that again.
Expectation: I’m going to work out three times a week *minimum* for 1 hour
Reality: I can’t even move after 1 work out, my muscles hurt so much because I did 10 squats and 10 push ups (Yep that was it).
Expectation: I’m going to buy a new garderobe so I will look fabulous before, during and after workout.
Reality: I just spent a month’s salary on clothes I will wear once or twice in my life!
Expectation: Giving up sugar will make me feel healthy and energetic immediately!
Reality: My cravings are so bad, I would actually commit murder for one Coke.
Expectation: I’m gonna start next week!
Reality: It’s been a week and I am ready but I don’t have the time so I will start next week or the week after, or the week after, or the week after, …
Expectation: These workouts will help me lose weight so fast. I will look like a model within weeks.
Reality: *Two months later* My jeans feel tighter than ever.
Expectation: This is going to be so easy, I can do this on my own I don’t need any help or a plan. I can find anything I need on the internet.
Reality: Those who succeed have a plan, those who fail have an excuse!
